The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance, scalable, and resilient backend services using Java and modern architectural patterns. The candidate will contribute to technical architecture decisions, ensure code quality, and mentor junior team members. Key Responsibilities: Lead the design and development of robust and scalable backend applications and RESTful APIs using Core Java (8+) and Spring Boot framework; build and maintain microservices architecture; implement and optimize data streaming and messaging solutions using Apache Kafka; design, implement, and optimize database schemas and queries in PostgreSQL and other relational/NoSQL databases leveraging ORM tools like Hibernate/JPA; optimize application performance and correct bottlenecks ensuring high availability; conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and testing practices; collaborate with cross-functional teams and mentor junior developers; participate in software development lifecycle using Agile methodologies and maintain technical documentation. Required Qualifications: 8+ years of hands-on experience in Java backend development; deep knowledge of Core Java concepts including OOP, data structures, algorithms, concurrency, exception handling; proven expertise with Spring Framework especially Spring Boot and Spring WebFlux; extensive experience building RESTful APIs and microservices architectures; hands-on experience with Apache Kafka (topics, partitions, consumer groups); familiarity with reactive programming patterns such as Project Reactor or RxJava; strong proficiency in SQL and relational databases particularly PostgreSQL including query optimization and schema design; familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines; excellent problem-solving, analytical, communication skills in an agile environment.
