JOB DESCRIPTION: SAP VIM Consultant – Role Overview An SAP VIM Consultant is responsible for implementing, configuring, and supporting SAP OpenText Vendor Invoice Management solutions. This role is critical in streamlining invoice processing, ensuring compliance, and integrating with broader SAP systems such as MM (Materials Management) and FI (Financial Accounting).

Key Responsibilities

1. Solution Design & Implementation Lead the design and configuration of SAP VIM workflows and document types. Integrate VIM with SAP S/4HANA and third-party systems (e.g., Agiloft, OpenText OCR). Customize VIM functionalities to support both PO and non-PO invoice processing 1 2.
2. Project Delivery & Support Manage end-to-end VIM implementation projects, including requirement gathering, blueprinting, and go-live support 3. Provide post-implementation support, including issue resolution and performance tuning 3.
3. Workflow & Role Configuration Define and maintain VIM roles such as AP Expert, Requestor/Coder, Purchaser, Vendor Maintenance, Approvers, and Information Providers 4. Configure SAP work centers and user access through SAP GRC tools 4.
4. Compliance & Integration Ensure compliance with regional regulations (e.g., Italy’s Fattura PA via SDI integration) 5. Support automation of invoice validation, exception handling, and real-time notifications 5.
5. Training & Documentation Conduct user training and create documentation for workflows, exception handling, and system usage 3. Required Skills & Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in IT, Finance, or related field. 7+ years of hands-on experience with SAP VIM and OpenText solutions 3. Strong knowledge of SAP MM, FI, and integration with OCR tools. Experience with SAP S/4HANA, FIORI apps, and SAP Cloud Integration (CPI) is a plus 5. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Preferred Experience Prior work in financial services, retail, or manufacturing sectors. Familiarity with SAP DRC (Document and Reporting Compliance) and Agiloft integration 1 2. Experience supporting global rollouts and multi-country invoice processing environments.
