Job Description: SAP Procure to Pay (P2P) Consultant with EDI Integration Expertise
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled SAP Procure to Pay (P2P) Consultant with expertise in Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) integration for our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a deep knowledge of procurement processes in SAP, combined with hands-on experience in implementing and managing EDI integrations to streamline business operations. This individual will play a key role in driving efficient procure-to-pay workflows and ensuring seamless communication between partners.
Key Responsibilities:
SAP Procure to Pay Process Expertise:
Analyze, design, and implement SAP P2P solutions to optimize procurement operations.
Configure SAP MM (Materials Management) modules for procure-to-pay functionality, including purchase requisitions, purchase orders, stock transport Orders, vendor management, and invoices.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather business requirements and translate them into SAP functionality.
Knowledge of Ariba Supply Chain collaboration will be an added advantage.
EDI Integration Management:
Design, implement, and maintain EDI integrations between SAP and external systems (vendors, suppliers, and customers).
Develop and manage EDI mapping and workflows for processes such as purchase orders, ASN, goods receipts, invoices, inventory movements, physical inventory and payment notifications.
Manage EDI communication protocols (e.g., AS2, FTP, SFTP, HTTP) and troubleshoot connectivity issues with partners.
Ensure data accuracy and consistency between SAP and external systems.
Technical Support:
Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to SAP P2P and EDI integrations.
Collaborate with IT teams to coordinate system upgrades, patches, and enhancements.
Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., X12, EDIFACT) and regulations affecting EDI workflows.
Required Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Supply Chain Management, or related field. SAP certifications are a plus.
Experience:
Minimum of 10+ years of experience working as an SAP Procure-to-Pay consultant.
Proven expertise in SAP MM/Ariba (Material Management/ Ariba SCC) modules.
Hands-on experience with EDI Integration using tools like SAP PI/PO, CIG Seeburger, or other middleware platforms.
Familiarity with standard EDI document types (e.g., 850 - Purchase Order, 810 - Invoice, 865 - Purchase Order Change etc).
Technical Skills:
Strong understanding of SAP procurement processes (sourcing, ordering, receiving, invoicing, and payment).
Experience with EDI mapping and translation tools (X12, EDIFACT, XML, IDOCs).
Knowledge of integration protocols (AS2, FTP, SFTP).
Basic ABAP knowledge is a plus but not required.
Soft Skills:
Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Strong documentation and communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
Detail-oriented and proactive in identifying process inefficiencies.
Preferred Qualifications:
SAP certification in Materials Management (MM) or Procurement.
Experience with SAP S/4HANA P2P processes and integrations.
Familiarity with advanced procurement tools such as SAP Ariba.
Knowledge of supplier onboarding and management processes.
Experience with global procurement and EDI regulations.
