Job Description ICU/CCU
Major Function:
Provide professional nursing care through the nursing process. Meet the needs of the patient, family, and multidisciplinary team through communication, coordination, and evaluation. Comply with all policies and procedures, nursing standards of practice and regulatory bodies.
?Experience and Requirements:
Experience: Must have a MIN. of 3 years’ experience- Medical Surgical exp. preferred
Contract Length: 6-13 weeks
Specialty: Experience within Cardiac ICU preferred
Weekend: 12 hour shifts Sun- Sat, must be available weekends
Holiday: Typically, NONE
RTO: no more than 3 days and not during the first week
License: NJ or compact
Certs: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS(AHA only)
Scrub color: Navy
Charting: Cerner
First Day Instructions
Sent by Inspira directly to the worker by 5pm the Friday prior to Monday start.
The worker will receive three emails from Inspira.
1.?TEAMS link for Monday which is a virtual orientation day.
a. They will attend a Teams meeting and then continue the day with ‘at your pace’ modules.
2.?Education to schedule their orientation classes.
a. Classes take place Tuesday-Thursday, and the candidate MUST attend. If they try to reschedule or miss a class, they will not be able to complete their assignment.
b.?The POCT class is scheduled for the 2nd or 3rd week of the assignment. Please ensure your worker has their POCT class date and remembers to attend.
3.HR Email- scheduling an ID Badge appointment and review policy/procedure.
a. The ID badge is very important to obtain prior to their Orientation Shift. This is how the candidate clocks in and out, which is how invoicing/billing occurs!
?*Workers must be available for the full 7 days of their first week for Orientation. No special scheduling for Orientation is permitted. If workers cannot attend full Orientation the offer will be rescinded. *

Unit Description: Overview: 32 beds, Neuro, Cardiac, Pulmonary, Gastro, Surgical, Endo. This is a Step-Down unit and agency nurses/positions are subject to floating to other critical care units (i.e., ICU, ER). Candidates must understand and agree to floating to other units outside of their assigned location. Experience with chest tubes, trach, cardizen gtt
