Job Description
The Ariba Lead – Buying Manager is responsible for leading the implementation and optimization of SAP Ariba Buying solutions. This role focuses on streamlining procurement operations, enhancing user experience, and ensuring compliance with procurement policies through guided buying, catalog management, and supplier collaboration.
Key Responsibilities: Lead the design, configuration, and deployment of SAP Ariba Buying and Invoicing modules. Manage end-to-end procurement processes including requisitioning, purchase order creation, invoice reconciliation, and supplier enablement. Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into functional specifications. Oversee integration with SAP S/4HANA or ECC systems using CIG or middleware. Drive adoption of guided buying and catalog-based procurement. Support supplier onboarding and Ariba Network enablement. Conduct training sessions, UAT, and post-go-live support. Ensure compliance with procurement policies and audit requirements. Required Skills & Experience: 8+ years of experience in SAP procurement solutions. 3+ years of hands-on experience with SAP Ariba Buying and Invoicing. Strong understanding of: Guided Buying Catalog Management (PunchOut, CIF) Ariba Network and Supplier Enablement Invoice reconciliation and exception handling Experience with integration tools (CIG, PI/PO). Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Preferred Qualifications: SAP Ariba certification. Experience in large-scale global rollouts. Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, IT, or related field.
