Job description

Job Description Join a dynamic and newly opened 32-bed Med Surg unit providing high-acuity care for surgical patients (Orthopedic, Neurologic, Gastrointestinal). Work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with updated equipment, a supportive team, and strong interdisciplinary coordination (ER, OR, PACU).

Roles & Responsibilities:

Deliver safe, high-quality care to a 1:5 patient ratio
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
Participate in shared governance and unit-based councils
Promote evidence-based practices and continuous learning

Requirements:

Graduate of an accredited nursing program
RN license in Texas
BLS certification (required within 30 days of hire)

Preferred Skills:

Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking
Adaptability in a high-acuity environment
Effective communication and teamwork
