Job Description Lead Analytics Engineer9 month contractRemote Job DescriptionReporting to the Analytics Engineering Manager, the Lead Analytics Engineer will work as part of a team to develop advanced analytical solutions for Health clients, including building new product initiatives for healthcare organizations. You will split your time focusing on data analytics while learning the industry and what delivers the highest value for our customers.You'll will:Have analytical skills to evaluate and interpret data both from an internal and client perspectiveUnderstand analytic questions and create data extract strategies, write SQL and interpret resultsUnderstand relational database structure and our goals to extract and organize relevant data for reporting analysisPerform complex data analysis, on time, to deliver analytics to help make better decisions along with managing and improving goalsCreate benchmarking analyses and data setsExperience pulling datasets from multiple source systems and aggregating in a data lakeAnalyze results and communicate ideas, both verbally and in writing to both technical and non-technical audiencesLead a small team of 1-2 Sr. Apex Engineers, providing technical guidance, code reviews, etc. to other Apex project team membersServe as point-of-contact for escalations between technical team and Apex engagement team QualificationsQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science or related discipline2+ years of experience building and supporting analytics backend systems for business intelligenceExperience extracting data from complex data warehouses using SQL and/or stored proceduresExperience with data flows, hierarchies, and data aggregationKnowledge of BI (Business Intelligence) reporting systems such as TableauExperience organizing a reporting systemExperience building a reporting database from scratchUnderstand software development principles and operationsExperience with big data platforms such as Hadoop and ClouderaExperience with Python (PySpark, pandas) for data engineeringAnalytical Skills: Data Analysis, Logic, StatisticsKnowledge in Data Governance tools/frameworksExperience administering Tableau environmentComputer Applications: Tableau (or similar BI Tool), SQL, Hadoop (including Impala, Spark)Ability to work remotelyRequired Skills : Experian
