Position: Certified Home Health/Hospice Aide Department: Hoag Hospice : 73100 Location: Newport Beach, CA, US Start Date: 02/23/2026 End Date: 05/30/2026 Bill Rate: $35.00 Positions: 1 Job Summary: -The Certified Home Health/Hospice Aide (CHHA) is a paraprofessional member of the home care/hospice team who works under the supervision of a registered nurse or therapist and performs and assists patient with various personal care services as necessary to meet the patient’s personal needs and to promote comfort. -The CHHA is responsible for observing patients, reporting these observations, and documenting observations and care performed. -The CHHA will be assigned in a manner that promotes quality, continuity and safety of a patient’s care. -The CHHA will not function in any manner viewed as the practice of nursing according to the state's Nurse Practice Act. -Specifically, the CHHA will not administer medications, take physician's orders or perform procedures requiring the training, knowledge and skill of a nurse, such as sterile techniques.
