Job Description 48 HOUR CONTRACT
Performs patient assessment, determines priority of care and provides any immediate interventions, analyzes assessment data, formulates and implements plan of care and evaluates for effectiveness in collaboration with medical staff and in accordance with the policies and procedures of Inspira Health Network.
Schedule: Nights 6:45p-7:15a
Weekend: Must be available to work weekends
Float Requirements: within specialty, possibly to ED hold.
Holiday: Typically Mullica Hill does not schedule contractors on Holidays in the ED but can change due to census.
RTO- no more than 3 days accepted.
**NO Block Scheduling/Special requests**
Education & Experience:
Three (3) years of recent ED experience required.
BSN
Travel experience required (completed at least one contract assignment)
Certification/Licensure:
Current licensure with New Jersey State Board of Nursing.
American Heart Association BLS required.
American Heart Association ACLS required within 6 months of hire.
American Heart Association PALS required within 6 months of hire.
NIHSS
Critical Care Course within 1 year (or 2 years CC experience or current CEN).
Completion of the Trauma Nurse Core Courses taught by the Emergency Nurses Association within 12 months of initial assignment or followed by a minimum of 8 contact hours of education every two (2) years in trauma assessment, intervention, and stabilization.
National Certification in specialty area preferred.

Unit Description: Overview: 64 Bed Emergency Department with hallway utilization, 75 bays which includes holds and pediatrics. Comfortable and proficient with caring for critically ill patients, behavioral health patients, and/or hold patients. Hold patients rarely include ICU and are primarily obs/acute inpatient admits. Average 150-190 visits daily.
