3x8s Unit Profile: Speech Language Pathologist Location: � Primary Facilities: Little Falls Hospital (LFH) and Cobleskill Regional Hospital (CRH) � Coverage: 3 days per week at LFH, 2 days per week at CRH (subject to caseload needs). Traveling between facilities mid-day is not expected except in rare cases. Basic Details � Start Date: ASAP � Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday�Friday, 8:00 AM�4:30 PM � On-Call: None Setting & Caseload � Primary Setting: Critical Access Hospitals o??ering outpatient, acute, and subacute swing bed rehabilitation services. � Caseload: Minimum of 7�8 patients per day, including both outpatients and inpatients, with most being outpatient. � Age Groups: Must be fully competent to treat patients from at least age 3 through advanced age. � Typical Diagnoses: Swallowing disorders (acute and chronic), speech and language impairments, neurological conditions (e.g., strokes, Parkinsonism), developmental delays, dysphagia, fluency, and diet selection/recommendations. The clinician must be fully capable of independently performing both evaluations and treatments in these areas. Requirements & Preferences � Certifications: Candidate must hold CCCs (Certificate of Clinical Competence). � Skills & Experience: Must have experience working independently. Should be skilled in swallow evaluations and treatment, as well as outpatient swallow and language evaluation and treatment. FEES, trach/vent, and MBSS experience are not required as these services are not currently o??ered at LFH or CRH.
