About the Role / Position Overview: This role entails providing skilled nursing care as a Float Pool Nurse across multiple facilities and various units within the Bassett Health Network. Candidates will deliver comprehensive patient care independently across medical/telemetry, medical/surgical, emergency, stepdown, and ICU units. The position demands adaptability, independence, and a broad clinical skill set to meet dynamic patient care needs.

Industry Focus: Healthcare - Hospital Nursing

Product Expertise: Clinical nursing care within medical, telemetry, surgical, emergency, stepdown, and intensive care units.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver full scope patient care independently across multiple hospital units.
• Float daily among all six facilities to support med/tele, med/surg, emergency, stepdown, and ICU units as assigned.
• Adapt quickly to varying patient care environments, policies, and procedures.
• Coordinate with facility staff to ensure seamless patient care transitions.
• Respond flexibly to mid-shift unit reassignments based on operational needs.

Required Education: Registered Nurse (RN) degree or diploma

Preferred Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) - Preferred but not required

Required Certifications / Licenses: Valid and current Registered Nurse license in New York State

Preferred Certifications / Licenses: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS)

Required Qualifications:

• Ability to handle the full scope of nursing care independently.
• Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking skills.
• Experience in medical/telemetry, emergency, or critical care nursing depending on float pool focus.
• Capacity to work autonomously and with minimal direct support.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience working in multiple hospital units or float pools.
• Experience in emergency departments or critical care settings.
