Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated Testing Engineer to join our team supporting zoos and botanical gardens. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing tests to ensure the functionality, performance, and reliability of systems and applications used in the management, conservation, and educational efforts of zoological and botanical institutions.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, and automated test scripts tailored to applications used in zoological and botanical environments.
- Collaborate with software developers, project managers, and domain experts to understand requirements and deliver high-quality software.
- Identify, document, and track software defects and inconsistencies.
- Participate in reviewing system designs and provide input from a testing perspective.
- Ensure all software solutions meet quality standards before deployment.
- Continuously improve testing processes and tools to increase efficiency and coverage.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in software testing, quality assurance, or related engineering role.
- Familiarity with testing methodologies, frameworks, and automation tools.
- Ability to work remotely and communicate effectively in a distributed team.
- Interest or experience in environmental, zoological, or botanical domains is a plus.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
