About the Role
We are seeking an Information Technology Consultant to join our team for a 6-month contract position. This role focuses on LSP (Logistics Service Provider) inventory management, business requirements analysis, and SAP EWM implementation.
Key Responsibilities
LSP Inventory Oversight
- Monitor and manage inventory levels across all LSP-operated warehouses and distribution centers to ensure product availability and prevent stockouts or overstock situations
- Conduct regular inventory reconciliations between internal ERP/WMS systems and LSP reporting to ensure data accuracy and resolve discrepancies
- Define and enforce inventory management policies, procedures, and KPIs for LSP partners
- Oversee cycle counts, physical inventory counts, and audit activities at LSP locations
Business Requirements & Functional Design
- Lead and facilitate business process workshops with LSP clients to gather, analyze, and document functional requirements
- Produce Functional Specifications (FS), Business Process Procedures (BPP), and Fit-Gap Analysis documents
- Translate business requirements into SAP EWM configuration and ABAP development specifications
- Engage with business stakeholders to manage expectations, communicate design decisions, and handle scope change requests
LSP Relationship & Performance Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for LSP partners on all inventory-related operational issues and escalations
- Conduct regular business reviews with LSPs to assess performance against SLAs and contractual obligations
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives with LSP partners to optimize inventory accuracy, reduce waste, and enhance operational efficiency
- Support onboarding of new LSPs by establishing inventory management processes, system integrations, and training requirements
Test Planning & Execution
- Own and build end-to-end Test Plans covering Unit Testing (UT), System Integration Testing (SIT), and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for EWM and IM modules
- Author detailed Test Scripts and Test Cases with clear preconditions, test steps, expected results, and pass/fail criteria
- Execute and manage test runs across multiple cycles, tracking defect status and resolution in defect management tools
- Coordinate with other workstream leads (MM, SD, PP, TM) for cross-functional integration test scenarios
- Prepare Test Summary Reports and obtain formal sign-off from business stakeholders prior to go-live
- Define and execute regression test plans for post-go-live change requests and patch deployments
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with SAP EWM (Extended Warehouse Management) and IM (Inventory Management) modules
- Strong background in logistics and supply chain management
- Experience with LSP operations and warehouse management
- Business analysis and requirements gathering experience
- Test planning and execution expertise
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
